Özet
Sağlık alanındaki gelişmelerle birlikte, insanlar bilimsel araştırmalarda hasta, araştırmacı veya denek olarak farklı rollerde yer almaktadır. Eşref-i mahlûkât olan insana yönelik, her türlü müdahalede ise dinî ve biyoetik birçok sorun gündeme gelmektedir. Bu sorunların tespiti ve çözümü için bunları, Müslüman bilim insanları ve doktorların tecrübelerine dayalı vaka bazlı incelemelerle ele alan ve İslâmi biyomedikal araştırma etiği prensiplerinin belirlenmesine destek olan çalışmalara ihtiyaç vardır. Bu çalışmada ise Dr. Mehrunisha Suleman’ın, bu ihtiyacı karşılamak amacıyla kaleme aldığı ve hem yöntem hem de üslup açısından, bu ihtiyaca binaen yapılacak diğer çalışmalara rehber niteliğinde olan, İslam ve Biyomedikal Araştırma Etiği (Islam and Biomedical Research Ethics) adlı eseri incelenecektir.
With advancements in the healthcare field, people take on different roles in scientific research as patients, researchers, or subjects. However, any intervention directed at human beings, who are considered the Ashraf al-Makhluqat (noblest of creation) brings numerous religious and bioethical issues to the forefront. To identify and address these issues, there is a need for studies that approach them through case-based analyses grounded in the experiences of Muslim scientists and doctors, and that support the establishment of Islamic biomedical research ethics principles. In this study, Dr. Mehrunisha Suleman’s work, Islam and Biomedical Research Ethics, written to address this need and serving as a guide for future studies in terms of both methodology and style, will be examined.
