| dc.description.abstract | Augustinus, Batı felsefesi ve Hristiyan teolojisi üzerinde büyük etkisi olan filozoflardan biridir. Döneminde pek çok konuya dair düşünce üretmiştir ve dil felsefesi de bu konulardandır. O, şu iki nedenle dil felsefesiyle ilgilenmiştir: Epistemolojik gereksinim ve teolojik kaygılar. Augustinus’ta dil felsefesi genel olarak, Tanrı’yı ve kutsal gerçekleri ifade etmenin bir aracı olarak dil üzerine düşünmedir. Kutsal metinlerin doğru yorumlanması, Hristiyan öğretilerinin doğru anlaşılmasını sağlar. Dilin sınırları ve yanlış anlamalara yol açabilme potansiyeli, bilginin doğruluğu ve geçerliliği konularında önemli sorular doğurur. Dil ve düşünce arasındaki ilişki, düşüncelerimizi dil aracılığıyla ifade ederken aynı zamanda dilin düşüncelerimizi nasıl etkilediğini gösterir. Ayrıca dilin ifade etme ve anlama işlevlerinin, insanın dünyayı algılaması ve düşünmesi açısından kritik olduğunu da vurgular. Augustinus "De Dialectica" adlı eserinde, dilin doğası, işlevi ve gerçeklikle ilişkisini derinlemesine incelenir. Bu eserde Augustinus, dili her yönüyle ele almaya çalışır; kelimeleri basit ve bileşik olarak sınıflandırır, cümleleri de doğruluk değeri alan ve almayanlar olarak ayırır. Kelimelerin kökeni, etkisi, çekimi ve dizilişi üzerine düşünceler sunar. Dilin mantık ve akıl yürütmedeki rolünü vurgular, hitabet ve diyalektiği birbirinden ayırır. | dc.description.abstract | Augustine is one of the philosophers who have had a significant impact on Western philosophy and Christian theology. He produced thoughts on many subjects during his time, and the philosophy of language was among these subjects. He was engaged with the philosophy of language for two primary reasons: epistemological necessity and theological concerns. In Augustine's framework, the philosophy of language is predominantly an exploration of language as a vehicle for articulating God and conveying sacred truths. The correct interpretation of holy texts ensures the proper understanding of Christian teachings. The limitations of language and its potential to cause misunderstandings raise significant questions regarding the accuracy and validity of knowledge. The relationship between language and thought shows how our thoughts are expressed through language and how language affects our thoughts. Additionally, he emphasizes that the functions of expression and comprehension in language are critical for human perception and thinking about the world. In his work "De Dialectica," Augustine deeply examines language's nature, function, and relationship with reality. In this work, Augustine tries to address every aspect of language; he classifies words as simple and compound, and sentences as those that have a truth value and those that do not. He presents thoughts on the origin, effect, declension, and arrangement of words. He emphasizes the role of language in logic and reasoning, distinguishing between rhetoric and dialectic. This study will examine Augustine's work De Dialectica from the perspective of the philosophy of language. | |
