dc.description.abstractBu çalışma 19. ve 20. yüzyılda Hint alt kıtasında yaşamış Ahmed Ali Lahorî, Şebbîr Ahmed Osmânî ve İsrar Ahmed adlı üç müfessiri konu edinmektedir. Mukayeseli bir yöntemle gerçekleştirilen bu çalışmada ilkin İslam’ın Hint alt kıtasına girişi, İslam medeniyetinin gelişmesi ve tefsir faaliyetleri hakkında ana hatlarıyla bilgiler verilmekte, ardından, mezkûr âlimlerin aldıkları eğitim, yetiştikleri ilmi çevre, Hindistan’da yaşayan Müslümanların bağımsızlık mücadelesi, hukuklarının korunması ve karşılaştıkları çok yönlü problemlerin çözümü çerçevesinde verdikleri siyasi mücadeleler üzerinde durulmaktadır. Bilahare her üç âlimin Urduca eserlerini telif ederken takip ettikleri metodoloji mukayeseli bir şekilde ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır. Mukayese her üç âlimin eserlerinde Fatiha ve Saff surelerine yaptıkları tefsirler örneği üzerinden yapılmaya çalışılmıştır. Netice itibarıyla Şebbîr Ahmed Osmânî tefsirinde kelam, fıkıh, tarih, coğrafya, kıraat, dilbilimleri, astronomi, tıp ve fen gibi ilim dallarından yararlanırken, Kur’an mesajını halka indirmeyi amaçlayan Ahmed Ali Lahorî, daha muhtasar tefsir yazmayı tercih etmiştir. İsrar Ahmed’in tefsiri ise, bilgi açısından diğer iki tefsirden çok daha kapsamlıdır.
dc.description.abstractThis study treats with the three exegetes who lived in the 19th and the 20th century in Indian Subcontinent named as Ahmad Ali Lahori, Shabbir Ahmad Uthmani and Israr Ahmad. This work, which eventuates with the comparative method, firstly gives brief information about the arrival of Islam into the Indian subcontinent, the Islamic civilization that emerged there, and the tafsir works. After that, it lays stress upon the education of mentioned scholars, the scholarly society they grew up in, the struggle of Indian Muslims for the independence, the political contention they gave for the protection of their legal rights and for the solution of different problems. At last, this thesis tries to execute the methodologies of three scholars comparatively, which they used while writing their respective Urdu tafsirs. The comparison is done within the commentaries of these scholars regarding surah al-Fatiha and surah al-Saff. In conclusion, this work determines that Shabbir Ahmad Uthmani makes use of the departments of kalam, fiqh, history, linguistics, astronomy, medical and science in his tafsir whereas Ahmad Ali Lahori, who aims to bring down the Quranic message to the local community level, preferred to write brief tafsir. As for Israr Ahmed’s tafsir, knowledgewise it is much more extensive then other two tafsirs.
