In order to provide a better under-standing of his approach, special attention is devoted to its different elements, thereby focussing mainly on his ontological, epistemological and anthropological views in this context. It is important to emphasize that G?h?az?l? systematically places the ?ashq concept within the discipline of ta?awwuf and Islamic thought. This love, in turn, takes place within the framework of sayr al-sul?k which describes the journey towards God, encompassing different stages and dimensions. Also, his impact on the Islamic world as well as his present-day importance are presented.Bu makale İmam Gazzâlî’nin tasavvuf alanındaki en önemli eser ve görüşlerini ele almaktadır. Onun bu tasavvurunu daha iyi anlayabilmenin yolu; ontolojik, epistemolojik ve antropolojik açıdan ne dediğini anlamakla yakından alakalıdır. Bu bağlamda Gazzâlî’nin tasavvuf ilmi ve İslam düşüncesi içerisinde aşk kavramına nasıl bir anlam yüklediği önem taşımaktadır. Tasavvuf ilminde aşk anlayışı farklı manevi merhaleleri aşarak Allah’a ulaşma yolculuğu (seyru sulük) kapsamında yer almaktadır.
