The role of knowledge, consumption behavior and adoption of renewable energy on environmental management: Concern about environment as moderator
(International Alliance for Sustainable Development - iRASD, 2024) Azam, Ammar; Hussain, Seerat; Ur Rahman, Inzimam
Environmental management has been the significant factor that effect the sustainable development around the globe and this aspect requires the focus of recent studies. Hence, the present study examines the impact of knowledge, consumption behavior and adoption of renewable energy on environment management of industrial sector in Germany. The study also investigates the moderating role of concern about environment among knowledge, consumption behavior and adoption of renewable and environment management. The study collect the data from the employees of industrial sector who are dealing with environmental protection activities using surveys. The study checks the validity, reliability and association among variables using smart-PLS. The outcomes revealed that the knowledge, consumption behavior and adoption of renewable energy have a positive association with environment management. The results also exposed that the concern about environment significantly moderates among knowledge, consumption behavior and adoption of renewable energy and environment management. The study helps the regulators in making regulations related to environment management using effective knowledge, reliable consumption behavior and adoption of renewable energy.

The impact of university students’ tendency to purchase from e-commerce sites and demographic characteristics on student satisfaction in the digital era: Case of a foundation university
(SSBFNET- Strategic Studies in Business & Finance, 2025) Öndaş, Mustafa; Aksoy, Tamer; Yönetim Bilimleri Fakültesi, İşletme Bölümü
This study mainly aimed to examine the impact of university students' purchasing tendency from e-commerce sites and demographic characteristics on student satisfaction through the example of a leading foundation research university in Türkiye. In the study, it was investigated whether there was a significant difference between students' purchasing tendencies from e-commerce sites and student satisfaction. It was also investigated whether there was a significant difference between demographic characteristics and student satisfaction. Methodologically, a descriptive online survey method including a questionnaire was applied to collect data. The survey was responded by 240 randomly selected students. The data were analyzed with SPSS-26. The study concluded that there was no significant difference between the average daily time spent on the internet and the type of device used to connect to e-commerce sites, which are among the criteria reflecting the tendency to purchase from e-commerce sites, and student satisfaction whereas there was a significant difference between the number of products purchased through e-commerce sites and student satisfaction. Furthermore, it was revealed that there was no significant difference between demographic characteristics such as gender, marital status, education and monthly income and student satisfaction, whereas there was a significant difference between age and student satisfaction. Accordingly, it was indicated that the difference in terms of age was especially in favor of students in the 22-25 age group. It is thought that the study will contribute to the literature by examining the impact of university students' purchasing tendency from e-commerce sites and demographic characteristics on student satisfaction, together with the example of a leading foundation research university. The study is limited by the selected sample foundation research university, the number of students responded, survey questions-answers, the applied statistical analysis methods and tests. Therefore, in order to reach more general results, it is suggested to expand the studies with more diverse and larger numbers of foundation research universities, students, survey questions and statistical methods.
Integrating the 4T psychoeducational model into cognitive-behavioral therapy: A case study of harm-related obsessive-compulsive disorder
(Sage Publications, 2026) Toprak, Taha Burak; İnsan ve Toplum Bilimleri Fakültesi, Psikoloji Bölümü
Background: Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a chronic psychiatric condition characterized by intrusive obsessions and repetitive compulsions that result in significant functional impairment. Harm-related obsessions and checking compulsions represent some of the most distressing and treatment-resistant symptom clusters. Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) remain the gold-standard interventions; however, their effectiveness may be limited in cases involving intrusive harm-related thoughts. Methods: This case study describes a 22-year-old male who presented with obsessions such as “What if I break his neck?”, fears of poisoning others, and associated compulsive checking and avoidance behaviors. He completed 30 sessions of CBT and ERP integrated with the 4T Psychoeducation Model, a framework derived from the Islamic intellectual tradition. The model distinguishes involuntary cognitive processes – imagination (tahayyul), baseless assumption/suspicion (tewehhum) and reasoning (taakkul) – from voluntary confirmation (tasdiq). Results: Standardized measures, including the Yale–Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale (Y-BOCS), Padua Inventory, Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), and Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI), were administered during treatment and at six-month follow-up. Results showed a clinically significant reduction in obsessive-compulsive symptoms (46% decrease in Y-BOCS), along with decreases in depression and anxiety. Qualitative feedback indicated that the 4T model helped the client differentiate intrusive images from responsible beliefs (confirmations), reducing thought–action fusion and excessive sense of responsibility. Conclusions: By the end of treatment, intrusive thoughts still occurred but were no longer perceived as threatening. This case highlights the value of integrating 4T psychoeducation into standard CBT protocols. Although initially developed for religious obsessions, the model provides a compelling cognitive framework for reconceptualizing thought-action relationships, emphasizing that thought processes are not inherently linked to actions, thereby emerging as an effective tool for improving treatment outcomes in harm-related OCD.
