Resilience in the digital ages: An overview of current intervention programs

Even in the 21st century, both individual challenges and large-scale crises, such as disastersand epidemics, continue to test human resilience. Resilience- the capacity to bounce backfrom adversity- is vital for people at all stages of life. However, many individuals requireadditional support to cultivate and strengthen resilience. Digital intervention programs havesurged due to technological advancements and the COVID-19 pandemic. This chapter seeksto provide insights that can support researchers and practitioners in developing andimplementing effective resilience-building strategies. For this purpose, a synthesis of thetheoretical foundations, mechanisms of actions, methods, delivery formats, and results of 21randomized controlled trials (RCTs) drawn from a systematic review (Ang et al., 2022) ispresented. This chapter underscores the importance of promoting resilience and the benefitsof digital intervention programs. While these programs offer numerous benefits in promotingresilience, the chapter also addresses the risks and challenges associated with digitalinterventions. Further recommendations to improve the efficacy of digital resilienceinterventions are discussed.
AB cezai konularda iş birliği hukukunda telekomünikasyon verilerinin sınır ötesi elde edilmesi, aktarımı ve delil değeri: Encrochat operasyonu Örneği

Bu çalışma, Encrochat operasyonunda başvurulan soruşturma tedbirlerinin cezai konularda Avrupa Birliği (AB) işbirliği hukukundaki yasal altyapısını, özellikle telekomünikasyon verilerinin sınır ötesinde elde edilmesi ve sınırötesine aktarılan bu verilerin delil değerini ve bu bağlamda ortaya çıkan diğer hukuki tartışmaları incelemektedir.Makalede öncelikle Encrochat’in teknik yapısı, suç örgütleri tarafından tercih edilme nedenleri ve 2020 yılındaFransa ile Hollanda öncülüğünde yürütülen uluslararası operasyonun seyri ele alınmıştır. Ardından, operasyondabaşvurulan üç temel iş birliği enstrümanı olan ortak soruşturma ekipleri (JITs), spontane bilgi paylaşımı ve AvrupaSoruşturma Emri’nin (ASE) hukuki altyapısı ve Encrochat operasyonundaki uygulamaları incelenmiştir. Çalışmanınhukuki tartışmalar bölümünde, elde edilen verilerin hem ulusal hukuk (özellikle Alman ceza muhakemesi hukuku)hem de AB hukuku bakımından geçerliliği, ölçülülük ilkesi, anayasal çekirdek alan koruması, kamu düzeni ve adilyargılanma hakkı ekseninde, Alman Anayasa Mahkemesi (BverfG), Alman Federal Yargıtayı (BGH), Berlin Eyalet Mahkemesi ve Avrupa Birliği Adalet Divanı (ABAD) kararları ile doktrindeki görüşler doğrultusunda karşılaştırmalı olarakincelenmiştir. Sonuç bölümünde, Encrochat operasyonunun organize suçla mücadelede teknoloji ve uluslararası işbirliğinin etkinliğini ispatladığı, ancak delil elde etme ve kullanma süreçlerinin temel haklar ve usulî güvenceleraçısından ciddi hukuki tartışmalara kapı araladığı tespit edilmiştir.

The effects of digitalization on journalism: Changes and transformations in Turkish sports journalism

This study explores the transformative impact of digitalisation on sports journalism, with a specific focus on Turkish media. Historically, sports journalism evolved through traditional platforms such as newspapers, radio, and television, each shaping how sports were consumed and perceived. The advent of digital platforms has revolutionized this landscape, offering interactive and audience-centered experiences while challenging conventional norms and ethics. In Türkiye, digital platforms like YouTube and social media have become essential outlets for sports content, integrating real-time updates, fan-driven narratives, and personalized consumption. Text mining and content analysis were employed to examine the practices of prominent Turkish sports journalists and their interactions with audiences. The findings reveal that digitalisation has enhanced accessibility and engagement but also has amplified issues such as sensationalism, misinformation, and a narrow focus on football. The study highlights the hybrid nature of Turkish sports journalism, where traditional practices coexist with digital innovations. While digitalisation presents opportunities for inclusiveness and innovation, it also necessitates addressing persistent ethical and structural challenges. This research contributes to understanding the evolving dynamics of sports journalism in the digital age, emphasizing the need for a balance between technological advancements and professional integrity.
Munāẓara and Islamic traditions of argument

It has become a trope to start the study of argument in Ancient Greece and lament its falling prey to formal logic over the centuries. While relatively true in the Western context, this view neglects Munāẓara and Islamic traditions of argument. This chapter offers a historical sketch of Islamic argumentation and introduces Munāẓara, the tradition's latest emergent discipline. Munāẓara can mean an argumentation theory, a type of inquiry between disagreeing parties for the manifestation of truth, and an actual debate. The chapter highlights Munāẓara's differences from contemporary argumentation theories and shows how Walton and Krabbe's classification of dialogue types fails to capture its intricacies.
